Ingredients - All recipes for a 60 lbs. dog
  • 2 pounds ground turkey (You can substitute ground chicken.)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice (It should be a little more than 1/2 a cup uncooked.)
  • 1 cup chopped carrots (Feel free to substitute carrot shreds here.)
  • 1/2 cup chopped spinach
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cooked organs-optional (see FAQs for more info)
  • Supplements-optional (see FAQs for more info)
Instructions
  1. Saute the Turkey

In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the turkey and sauté until browned. Drain oil. Place into a bowl and set aside, allowing to cool.

  2. Cook Brown Rice

Prepare the rice as directed on the package. Once it's ready, set it aside and allow it to cool while you complete the next steps.

  3. Prepare the VegetablesYou can either chop the carrot and spinach into bite size pieces, or place it all in a food processor and chop it up.
  4. Cook VegetablesHeat olive oil or butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced carrots to the pan and sauté for about 5-7 minutes or until they start to soften. Gradually add the fresh spinach to the pan, stirring gently as it wilts. This should take 2-3 minutes.
  5. Combine and Serve

Combine the turkey, rice, carrots, and spinach in a bowl and combine. You can stir to loosely combine, or use a potato masher to make it super smooth.

Note: If you are adding supplements or organ meat, now is the time to add those.

Ensure the meal has cooled enough and serve!
