Ingredients - Makes Two Pizzas - All recipes for a 60 lbs. dog
    Pizza Crust
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 egg(s)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil (1 tablespoon to coat pan, 1 tablespoon for dough)
  • Pizza Toppings
  • 1 pound ground turkey or beef
  • 4 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons water (to mix with tomato paste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (to mix with tomato paste)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cooked organs-optional (see FAQs for more info)
  • Supplements-optional (see FAQs for more info)
Instructions
    Pizza Crust
  1. Preheat Oven

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with wax paper and coat with olive oil.

  2. Combine Pizza Crust Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the dry pizza crust ingredients (almond flour, baking powder). Whisk together.

    Fold in the cheese. ;)

Add in the egg and the olive oil and combine. The dough should look and feel like cookie dough when well combined.

    Break into even dough balls.

  3. Shape the Dough

Move the dough to the pan and gently flatten to shape a pizza crust, roughly 9 inches in diameter. You want the crust to be less than 1/2 inch thick.

You can use a rolling pin (or a bottle of wine) to roll out the dough. Be sure to lightly oil the dough first.
  4. Bake Crust

Bake for 9-11 minutes until golden. Pull out of oven and prepare to add ingredients.

  5. Pizza Toppings
  6. Brown Ground Beef or Turkey

In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and sauté until browned. Drain oil. Place into a bowl and set aside, allowing to cool.

  7. Make Pizza Sauce

Mix together tomato paste, oil, and water to get a sauce-like consistency. Use a 2-1-1 ratio: 2 Tablespoons paste, 1 Tablespoon oil, 1 Tablespoon water.

  8. Top the Pizza

Spread the pizza sauce over the pizza crust evenly.

Sprinkle the cheese over top of the sauce.

Top the pizza with ground beef or turkey.

Sprinkle the chopped basil on top (looks prettier if you wait to do this step AFTER the pizza cooks).

If you are adding supplements or organ meat, now is the time to sprinkle those on top.
  9. Bake and Serve

    Bake for 10 minutes.

Allow to cool thoroughly. Cut up into bite-sized pizzas and serve.
