Ingredients - All recipes for a 60 lbs. dog
  • 3 pounds lean ground beef
  • 4 cups frozen chopped mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, green beans)
  • 2 cans kidney beans (no salt or additives)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (no salt or additives)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 can tomato paste (low or no salt or additives)
  • 2 tablespoons organs-optional (See FAQs for more info)
  • Supplements-optional (See FAQs for more info)
  • 2 tablespoons greek yogurt-optional (plain)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese-optional (cheddar or mozzarella)
Instructions
  1. Brown the Ground Beef

In a large pan, heat 1 Tbs. olive oil over medium heat. Add the turkey and sauté until browned. Drain oil. Place into a bowl and set aside.

  2. Add Ingredients to Slow Cooker

Dump the ground beef, beans (with liquid), diced tomatoes (with liquid), diced mixed vegetables, and tomato paste.

Pour 1-2 Tbls. of olive oil over top the mixture.

Add the supplements and organs at this time.
  3. Stir

    Stir and loosely combine ingredients.

  4. Cook

You can cook the chili either on low or high settings.

  5. Cool, Add Extras, and Serve

Allow the dish to cool completely before serving to your furry friend. You may want to add some cold water as it will be very hot.

Add optional extras: I like to add a large spoonful of greek yogurt and sprinkle some shredded cheese on top of the hili before I serve.

Serve with Love: Present as a flavorful and nutritious option for your pup's mealtime.

Always ensure that ingredients used are safe for dogs, and consult with your veterinarian if you have specific dietary concerns or if your dog has allergies.
