Description

Let your pup do the "Turkey Tango Tail-Teaser" with this delicious casserole! Shredded turkey, finely diced carrots, and a cheesy twist unite to create a canine carnival that guarantees a party in your pup's tummy.

Ingredients - All recipes for a 60 lbs. dog
  • 4 cups cooked turkey, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (For browning turkey)
  • 2 cups carrots, shredded or finely diced (You can use bagged shredded carrots to make prep time easier.)
  • 2 cups mixed veggies (peas, green beans, etc.), chopped (I love those frozen steamable bags you get at the grocery store!)
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (divided)
  • 3 tablespoons chopped cooked organs-optional (see FAQs for more info)
  • Supplements-optional (see FAQs for more info)
Instructions
  1. Preheat OvenPreheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a larger casserole dish or use multiple dishes as needed.
  2. Brown Turkey and Prep VeggiesHeat a skillet over med-high heat with olive oil. Cook ground turkey by browning it in skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spatula. Ensure it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Finally dice veggies, or follow heating directions on frozen veggies.
  3. Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded turkey, diced carrots, chopped mixed veggies, beaten eggs, and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Mix thoroughly.

Note: If adding organs/supplements, now is the time to add them.

  4. Transfer to PanTransfer the mixture to the greased casserole dish(es) and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top for an extra savory touch.
  5. Bake and CoolBake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is set and the cheese is golden brown. Allow the casserole to cool completely before serving to your pup.
