Ingredients - All recipes for a 60 lbs. dog

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chicken and Hard-Boiled Eggs

Stovetop: In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Chop up the chicken and cook in the skillet, turning occasionally, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F, approximately 15-20 minutes.

Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Arrange chopped up chicken pieces in a baking dish and bake for 50-60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Set aside and allow to cool. 🍗🍳

Prepare hard-boiled eggs while the chicken is cooking.

Once cooked and cooled, shred the chicken and the eggs.

  2. Cook Rice

Prepare the rice as directed on the package. Once it's ready, set it aside and allow it to cool while you complete the next steps.

You can also use unsalted chicken broth instead of water to cook the rice.
  3. Heat the Vegetables

Follow directions on the package for frozen mixed vegetables. Set aside and allow to cool.

  4. Combine

Combine all of the ingredients into a super large bowl (everything!).

Pour the olive oil on top, and combine for 2-3 minutes with a big wooden spoon.

Note: If you are adding supplements or organ meat, now is the time to add those.

Ensure the meal has cooled enough and serve!

  5. Package it up

For a 60 lbs dog I recommend 2 cups per meal, assuming twice a day feedings.

I put two cups into each freezer bag per portion. Once all portioned out, I place three days worth into the refrigerator and the rest in the freezer.

I recommend pulling the food from the freezer AT LEAST 24 hours in advance. If needed, you can microwave, but check for hot spots and add some water to equalize the temperature.
